flash 8 test
was bored and got flash 8 again to dick around with, it’s still good and lovely even in {current_year}. obligatory seldom ani mae tion post. she’s got no arms cause I was gonna make them separate symbols to be manipulated but I never bothered since this was just a test anyways
she is made of various symbols that I have tweened. think for animations, I’ll keep to using clip studio paint if it’s gonna be a simple loop, but if I want to do something with multiple scenes and story, I’ll opt for either flash 8 or figure out how the heck tahoma2d works
oh and hey, this is also a test of export methods from flash to animated image! in this case, I exported the raw frames from Flash 8 as PNGs, opened them all in GIMP at once as layers on a single document, exported as an animated webp (for my website), but also exported as a GIF for other places that don’t like webp files (here for example because this place is still running code from 2005 in most of it I’m sure)
oh and also, for video, I seemingly can just export the animation as full frames uncompressed AVI, which is fucking enormous (207mb for this 1 second thing at 1080p alone…), but I can quickly shove it into handbrake and get that down to a reasonable 137kb mp4 no problem 👍 good to know
